Describe what you do at Forte Marketing?
I provide support on projects for the Forte Marketing team and their clients.
What solutions do you deliver to clients?
I assist with content creation, social media planning and scheduling, website authoring, reporting and researching.
We all have different ways of working - how would you describe your approach to work?
I can get very invested. I like clear outlines and instructions, as ambiguities can make me overthink things too much, so I prefer to clarify things... a lot!
On the flip side, it gives me a rush to do something that I have been told isn’t possible or that others can’t figure out.
What did you do before you started at Forte Marketing and what most appealed to you about joining the team?
I like having a mix of skills, learning new things and really enjoy working. I’ve had plenty of odd jobs since I was very young, from working in a Chinese takeaway taking orders and making spring rolls, through to washing taxis and pet sitting.
Before working with Forte, I was the Community Leader at theSPACE Australasia, running the co-working space. I also spent three years living in New York as a nanny.
The thing that most appealed to me about working with Forte is their style and vibe. Darren and Louise have given me invaluable opportunities to learn and develop my skills.
What is your greatest source of enjoyment at Forte Marketing?
The team. They are always helpful, supportive and up for a laugh. They are the bringers of joy.
I also love that every day I can learn something new. Whether it’s business-related, a random fact that someone throws out, or a new British slang word.
Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?
Anytime I learn something new or discover a new skill is a memorable moment for me.
If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
My superpower would be teleportation/time travel so that I can travel to any place at any point in time to relive and experience history, plan for the future, and just travel the world much faster and easier.
What would you typically be doing and where would we find you when you’re not at work?
When I'm not at work I can be found lying on a couch, staring at the ceiling and thinking about work. If on the off chance I’m not there, you can probably find me with my family and friends, on a mini road trip, by a body of water, or dying while on a hike somewhere... It really depends on the day.
Tell us something surprising about yourself.
I love canoeing. I once spent a week canoeing down a river and even went down the rapids backwards, just for fun.
