A luxury e-commerce redesign to drive sales

Biotrade is a well-established European skincare brand with a strong reputation in dermatological solutions, operating across multiple international markets.

When entering Australia, the brand had no real digital presence locally. The opportunity was clear, but so was the challenge. The brand needed to be introduced to a new market in a way that maintained its credibility while making it accessible to Australian customers.

We partnered with Biotrade Australia to build their e-commerce presence from the ground up, and have continued to support their growth through ongoing digital strategy, performance marketing, and platform maintenance and optimisation.

The Challenge

Biotrade entered the Australian market without a dedicated digital platform to support online sales or customer engagement.

The brand already had strong global positioning, which meant the Australian presence needed to align with existing brand standards while still adapting to local expectations.

At the same time, the business needed more than just a website. They required a fully functional e-commerce platform that could:

  • Support direct-to-consumer sales
  • Enable relationships with stockists and retailers
  • Manage inventory, orders, and fulfilment efficiently
  • Provide a foundation for ongoing marketing and growth

Balancing brand consistency with local usability, while building everything from scratch, was a key part of the challenge.

The Approach

From a technical perspective, the focus was on creating a scalable e-commerce platform that could support operations from day one. From a marketing perspective, we worked to position the brand effectively within the Australian market.

This meant aligning with global brand guidelines, while introducing structure, content, and user flows that made it easier for customers to discover and purchase products locally and quickly create trust in a highly competitive industry.

The Solution

E-commerce Platform

We developed a new e-commerce website that presents the brand in a clean, premium way while making it easy for users to browse, understand, and purchase products. The platform includes full integration with payment gateways, shipping systems, and product inventory, ensuring a transparent end-to-end experience for both customers and the internal team.

CRM & Inventory Integration

A custom integration with their stock management system was implemented to facilitate stock management, order processing, and fulfilment.

B2B Functionality

We introduced functionality to support stockists and professional partners, enabling the brand to grow its wholesale network alongside direct online sales.

Search & Performance

We implemented a structured SEO foundation to improve visibility and support long-term growth.
