DAYNE MORRIS

Dayne is a web developer with a strong passion for learning and experience in multiple disciplines within the Information Technology space. He holds a degree in Technology and Innovation at James Cook University and has worked on a range of projects, from simple lines of code to managing large, multi-locational databases in rural Queensland. During this time, he has also developed effective communication skills and the ability to deliver professional products to clients on time and to a high standard.

He specializes in software development and has a strong interest in innovation and continuous workflow improvement. Past clients and employers have praised Dayne for his “mature work ethic, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude towards improving processes”. Describe what you do at Forte Marketing?
Web Development using a plethora of different tools and aiding with front-end and back-end coding.

What solutions do you deliver to clients?
I focus on developing web solutions that are easy to use, efficient, and above all else meeting the clients’ needs.

The goal is to make web solutions that anyone could edit and change at their will. If the project is more complex, making things clean and organized is the aim.

We all have different ways of working - how would you describe your approach to work?
When it comes to work, I like to tackle projects head-on no matter what the challenge. As the great Bruce Lee once said, “If you spend too much time thinking about a thing, you’ll never get it done.”

What did you do before you started at Forte Marketing and what most appealed to you about joining the team?
Before joining Forte Marketing, I completed my final year of university. Forte appealed to me because, not only do I have a degree in IT, but I genuinely enjoy marketing. I quickly learned that marketing is the most important aspect of any business. Behind every great product is an equally great marketing plan.

What is your greatest source of enjoyment at Forte Marketing?
I believe learning is my greatest source of enjoyment. They say you learn something new every day. I feel like I learn two things a day at Forte marketing, and I love it.

Can you tell us about the most memorable moment of your career?
Most memorable moment of career was probably the first time I helped someone with something IT-related. I still remember their faces changing from confused despair to pure happiness and relief. From that moment on, I realized I was in the right field.

If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower?
It’s a bit of a different power, but if I had to choose, it would be the ability to do 100 tasks at once. I feel like I could finally complete every little thing my brain comes up with. Sadly, the reality is that I’m only human and can only do a few things at a time 🙁

What would you typically be doing and where would we find you when you’re not at work?
I typically spend my free time at home developing software, creating content for my personal brands and playing video games. You might also find me fishing by the riverbank if the conditions are good, or out swimming and enjoying activities around the city.
