For many years, weโve worked alongside the SharingStories Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to protecting and promoting First Nationsโ languages, stories, and cultural heritage.
In their latest initiative, they joined forces with Traditional Custodians and the Wet Tropics Management Authority to create a tool highlighting the rich cultural values of the Wet Tropics. The tool aims to educate visitors and cultivate a deeper respect for the Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples.
Together, they developed content, animations, and videos while we took on the challenge of building an interactive digital platform to bring their vision to life.

An interactive platform for connection
We developed the Rainforest People Country Culture interactive map. Built using WordPress and the Google Maps API, the interactive map features custom graphic layers, overlays, info boxes and external video content among other interactive features. The platform also allows administrators to add videos and community information with ease.
To ensure seamless performance and compliance with government requirements, we compiled the site as a standalone solution while maintaining full interactivity and integration with the Wet Tropics Management Authorityโs custom search engine.

A lasting digital legacy
By combining cutting-edge technology with rich storytelling, we delivered a platform that makes it easy for the Wet Tropics Management Authority and SharingStories Foundation to continue showcasing the voices and traditions of Rainforest Aboriginal Peoples for generations to come.
